Our village fete was held yesterday and I was happy to be assisting with the Pig racing stall (no need to panic, they were not real pigs). This was all in aid of good causes for the local community and even the weather turned out nice for the pink porky pigs to run their races in STYle (pun intended). I know it&#8217;s terrible but I don&#8217;t want to Boar you so I&#8217;ll stop now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#ff7802\">Blender 3, it&#8217;s time to update my Blender 2.92 to the latest version. Here is a list of the important new features of Blender 3.1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-text-color wp-block-list\" style=\"color:#ff7802\"><li>Cycles now has a Metal GPU backend, contributed by Apple.<\/li><li>The new Point Cloud object can be rendered directly with Cycles to create sand, water splashes, particles or even motion graphics.<\/li><li>Blender\u2019s ever-growing procedural system gets 19 new nodes.<\/li><li>And much much more.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#ff7802\">What else, ah yes, the 100 days of Swift is progressing nicely (maybe not quickly enough to meet my targets) and I have reached a crucial part of the course for project #2 &#8211; Maps and Swifts MapKit framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#ff7802\">Finally, coming up on the next blog, I go all Agatha Christie on you.
